- Quote Post#1824 » by thebuzzardman » Sat Jun 1, 2024 3:23 pm The Knicks draft and any trades have a lot of moving parts. It’s pretty much a given they’ll resign OG, but we don’t know for exactly how much.Hartenstein is less of a given, but a probable. Even with iHart, things start to get weird/confusing. They might keep iHart but move Mitch. Mitch and Bogs might be combined in a trade for Bridges or Ingram. Maybe the Knicks solve backup PG in the Pelicans trade. Maybe the Knicks can get either Bridges or Ingram, but solve PG with Jokubitus, and Bogs option is picked up for a mid season trade. Maybe Jokubitus looks like sh*t in the summer league or the Knicks aren’t sold on him in general, so they release Bogs and use that money towards Melton. And so on. Knicks need some height depth on the wingThey could use a backup PGThey might need a backup C, depending on if iHart leaves or Mitch gets dealt. This impacts the draft as well. Do all the picks get traded? Do the Knicks use just one pick and choose from among backup PG, Center or wing defender? They probably trade one pick into the future, one of the 1st round picks.Top thebuzzardmanRealGMPosts: 74,565And1: 83,161Joined: Jun 24, 2006Location: VillanovknicksPost#1824 » by thebuzzardman » Sat Jun 1, 2024 3:23 pm

He has zero offensive game as well. Valanciunas IMO (whom the Pelicans are said to want to let go of) likely carries more value around the league than Mitch. Deuce is a nice asset to have but he is a bench/rotation player at this point. What you are proposing is essentially two role players and two late picks for an all-star player in his prime. Is not going to happen. If the Knicks plan on making an offer for Ingram (which I kinda doubt they will due to positions etc.) and they want to keep DD, Hart, Hartenstein out of the trade talks….they will have to trade 4 FRPs or more IMO. A 24th and 25th pick in a weak draft isn’t worth much. The Pelicans would want unprotected FRPs in the future..2026/2028 with hopes of the Knicks being worse than today. The Pelicans just turned down the 17th pick in the draft….does not look like they are very interested in this draft. The Pelicans will likely try to get a star Point guard in return for Ingram. They have been lacking a star point guard for many years now—ever since Paul left the franchise. Ingram holds enough value to net them a Garland or Murray type player. I personally would take Ingram over Trae as well but I guess that can be debated.Top HopelessKnickStarterPosts: 2,203And1: 1,725Joined: Aug 03, 2021Post#1830 » by HopelessKnick » Sat Jun 1, 2024 3:47 pm

I personally would take Ingram over Trae as well but I guess that can be debated. Top

The Nets turned down a deal netting them 4 FRPs from Memphis already—that’s a small market, western conference team that the Nets would have no problem dealing with. Imagine what Bridges would cost if the Nets were to send him here. From everything one reads they are looking to pair Bridges with another star player, not trade him in a deal for another star player. They want to improve and improve fast. But given his game…offense/defense and overall ability..Bridges would be pretty perfect. He would take us from title contenders to overwhelming title favorites IMO. Having Brunson, Deuce, DD, Hart, Bridges, OG on the perimeter would be a dream come true.Top HopelessKnickStarterPosts: 2,203And1: 1,725Joined: Aug 03, 2021Post#1833 » by HopelessKnick » Sat Jun 1, 2024 3:58 pm
